The Mayor has a stunning time at the

Ensemble Reza Friends Concert as they announce a new schools project!

Town Mayor, Cllr Howard Mundin and his consort had a fantastic time at the recent Ensemble Reza concert at Haywards Heath College which was organised to thank friends and supporters of the community orchestra!

The Mayor comments:

This was a truly stunning evening held at Haywards Heath College and what remarkable talent was on display. All of the performers were so professional and I thoroughly enjoyed all of the music on the night. The event was superbly organised and gave us an insight into Ensemble Reza and opportunity to meet many of the musicians, all of whom were very happy to share their love and joy of music and the benefits this can provide to the community.

In the last year, Ensemble Reza have given over 60 concerts, performing to 4,000 people and 2,500 children. They truly love bringing people together through music and do a tremendous amount of work in our schools, for charities and for local community groups, sharing their knowledge and love of music through free workshops and concerts. Hannah Carter, their dynamic Managing Director, was also excited to share news of their next project with me. Over the next 6 months they will work with over 40 schools and 9,000 children running free music workshops. This will start with the Ingfield Manor School, for students with neurological motor impairments such as cerebral palsy and associated sensory and medical needs.

What a truly inspirational and community minded group of talented individuals make up the Ensemble Reza family, and not just the musicians but all the hard-working folk who organise, direct, transport, market and fundraise so that the orchestra can provide free music to our community!

Thank you to Ensemble Reza for a fantastic concert and for all the amazing good work you do for the local community.”
