Community and Events Officer

A vacancy exists for a Community and Events Officer within Haywards Heath Town Council

37 hours per week (permanent position) £24,657 (scp 27) - £27,188 (scp 30)

Haywards Heath Town Council is looking for someone who wants to make a difference across our community and who has strong interpersonal skills that will enable them to engage with a range of people including community groups, statutory organisations, local businesses and residents. This work will include

organisation, attendance and management of Town Council events and support for third party events. 
the requirement to secure funding and sponsorship to support Town Council events and other Town Council services.
being the Town Council’s eyes and ears on the ground, quickly finding out community needs and connecting people to others to make things happen.

To do this you will need to establish strong and robust relationships and build a network of key partners.  Along with an ability in time and project management, you must be capable of working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines.
