The Haywards Heath community gathered today, Friday 24th January, at the Town Hall to commemorate Holocaust Memorial Day, honouring the memory of those who lost their lives during the Holocaust and other genocides. The event also marked the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz and the 30th anniversary of the end of the Bosnian genocide. The service was organised by Irene Balls, Fr. Martin Morgan and Haywards Heath Town Council. It was attended by members of the local community, as well as Councillors from Haywards Heath Town Council and Mid Sussex District Council.

Mid Susses District Council is looking at the option for a town centre Business Improvement District working with the Town Council and the Haywards Heath Business Association. Heartflood consultants have been asked to carry this work out and are currently engaging with the key town centre stakeholders to see if there is an appetite to take the matter forward.  Please use this link to give your thoughts and find out more information.

Haywards Heath Community Awards, an initiative designed to support and recognise the unsung heroes of our town. These awards aim to honour individual residents and businesses who have made significant contributions to our local community, either through specific actions or cumulative efforts over time.

The Town Hall and Town Council offices are now reopen following the Christmas closure period.

The Haywards Heath Town Council is delighted to announce the winners of this year's Festive Display Competition. It has been lovely to see such festive displays around the town. The community has really engaged with the competition, and we've received more than 2,100 votes. While the majority of votes poured in online, we also received a handful of telephone votes.
